TED DILLON CAREER BIO

Anybody can jump a motorcycle. The trouble begins when you try to land it.

Evel Knievel

Ted Dillon has helped develop scalable streaming media delivery solutions for clients over the past decade. He has been involved in streaming live video events since 2005 and has a vast array of knowledge in the areas of advanced video streaming. Whether it be live video events or on-demand video delivery systems and technologies, he is passionate about helping customers succeed and helping provide IT solutions to meet their business needs while supporting their long term success and growth.

 

With a strong background of work experience in IT systems administration and network engineering, he has helped build and manage various data center facilities for companies early in his career. This helped him develop a strong understanding of modern underlying IT infrastructures which now powers the modern internet as we know it which power the software applications and mobile devices which have become the prevalent tools in today's workplace. 

 

The latter half of his career he moved to the Los Angeles area and moved from behind the scenes to the front lines of the CDN space as an engineer at EdgeCast which was acquired by Verizon in 2013. He regularly held staff training and hosted whiteboard learning sessions around video streaming for Verizon until his departure in 2016.  With a knack for troubleshooting complex IT problems and crafting advanced video delivery solutions for customers, he has a proven track record of customer success. He regularly attends national conferences on the video streaming industry to stay on the pulse advancements within the streaming industry and CDN technology space.

 

Ted holds a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a Cisco Network Academy graduate. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 3 children in the Redondo Beach area where he is an avid surfer and coaches AYSO soccer in his spare time.
