Showing support for women in VC and Product N’s very own client, The Riveter! Great piece highlighting 5 women-led VC firms on their way to decreasing the gender gap

We noticed some trends here:

  • Almost all are under 5 years old

  • Portfolios are ~20 to 50 large

  • Their investments are not only women led but tend to have women targeted products and services. I find this interesting. Why aren't more women running companies that target broader (er, males too) audiences? It would be nice to see more women building businesses meant for the masses as well as filling the gaps in women focused verticals.

SoGal Ventures

50 investments including EverlyWell and Anomalie.

Halogen Ventures

With 50 companies in their portfolio, some of the most notable include Armoire, theSkimm, and HopSkipDrive.

Forerunner Ventures

With over 80 startups, most notable are Chime, Modern Fertility, Glossier.

Brilliant Ventures

A fairly new fund in Los Angeles, their highest profile investments include Haute Hijab and The Riveter*, a Seattle-based workspace community for female-led businesses.

Female Founders Fund

Investments include Zola, BentoBox, Thrive Global and Rent the Runway, Billie, and Spruce Up,
